Do you have the capability to be an ambassador for the University? You may be eligible to apply for the Chancellor Robert Hope Memorial Prize for 2023.
The Chancellor Robert Hope Memorial Prize is named in honour of UOW’s founding Chancellor and is the University’s most prestigious prize, recognising students who go above and beyond.
The Prize
The prize recipient will receive:
- The Chancellor Robert Hope Medal
- A monetary prize of $7,000
- A $3,000 donation to one or more charitable or community organisations selected by the recipient
Eligibility
You are eligible for the prize if you have applied and are eligible to graduate in 2023 with a Bachelor degree, have completed all course requirements, and have the capability to be an ambassador for the University through having demonstrated:
- An exceptional contribution to the University community and/or the wider community
- Outstanding leadership qualities
- Academic excellence. Academic excellence can be measured through a variety of indicators including but not restricted by, a weighted average mark (WAM) of 80 or above, contribution to your field of study, academic excellence relative to your academic journey
Students can be nominated by a University staff member, fellow student, or can self-nominate.
Nominations close 5pm AEDT, Monday 20 November, 2023.
