Trimester 1 Census Date is coming up on 27 February – this is your last chance to:
- Pay your tuition fees upfront for the session (all fees for Trimester 1 2023 are due on 27 February unless you defer your fees using a HELP loan or if you are an international student and have an instalment plan in place).
- Change or update your billing type for the session, both tuition and Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF). Please note that SSAF fees are due 1 September. If you wish to defer your SSAF payment to your HELP loan this must be actioned by 27 February 2023.
- To defer you SSAF payment to your HELP loan, go into SOLS, select Fees / HELP Loan Option/ Maintain. If you have elected to pay your SSAF fee this needs to be reflected as ‘Upfront’ in SOLS.
- Withdraw from a subject for the current session without incurring tuition fees – if you withdraw before 27 February the subject will be removed from your record and you won’t be required to pay tuition fees.
- If you withdraw after this date, you will be financially liable for tuition fees – however you can apply to have the subject removed from your record before 17 March. After this date the subject will remain on your record.
- Please note for students receiving Centrelink benefits, withdrawing from subjects may impact your payments, if study load requirements aren't met.
- If you are an international student, please check your visa requirements/ speak with the AskUOW team before withdrawing from a subject.
- If you need further information about paying your fees, changing your billing type or withdrawing from a subject before Census Date, contact the AskUOW team.
Check your assessments: Make sure you have closely read your subject outline so you know the type of assessments you may be required to complete this Trimester, some may be an end of session (final) exam. Final exams at UOW can be in the following modes:
