Careersmart and Startsmart are two compulsory modules that provide key skills and information to begin navigating your University career and preparing for your professional future. If you do not complete both modules by the end of your first session your results will be withheld. Once you have completed the programs, your results will be released within 24 hours.

CareerSmart
Understand your career options and how to improve your employability by learning what skills you have now, what employers want and how to fill in the gaps with your UOW studies. CareerSmart will help you create an action plan for your future to stay motivated and navigate your way through your degree with a clear focus.
Compulsory for all first year undergraduate students studying within Australia.CareerSmart must be completed within 60 days of commencing studies at UOW.

StartSmart
Essential information skills to introduce you to the UOW academic environment and help you understand your student responsibilities. StartSmart will show you strategies and resources available to assist you in completing assessment tasks, and develop strong academic integrity practices.
Compulsory for all new domestic and international coursework students.
