So we have...
Provided you with more opportunities to connect with your peers and enjoy student life
- Launched First Year Communities to help you settle into uni life and get to know other new students.
- Expanded our Peer Learning Coaching (PLC) program, providing access to assistance from senior students with time management, assessment planning and staying motivated with your studies and weekly 1:1 coaching.
- Reintroduced Peer Assisted Study Session (PASS) so you excel in your subjects and connect with your peers in a relaxed environment outside of your tutorials and lectures.
- Invested in and revitalised student-led initiatives like clubs and societies to give you even more opportunities to connect.
- Continued to run It’s Go Time, a multi-week series that provides support and connection opportunities in the weeks leading up to Orientation, and beyond.
- Increased social programs for international students, including on-beach experiences and regular lunch and learn sessions.
- Continued to hold regular face-to-face events, providing you with more opportunities to connect with your peers.

So we have….
Provided more types of personalised support that is easy to locate and access.
- Introduced a digital Student Success Portal as a central location for accessing support online.
- Opened a Student Support and Success Precinct on Wollongong campus, and a Student Success Hub on the Liverpool campus, creating a one-stop-shop for student support on these campuses.
- Launched First Year Communities to connect new student with experienced students, and build awareness of services and support.
- Created the Student Success Team who proactively reach out to students who may need some additional support.
- Continued to implement a Student Support Policy to better define how we support our students.

Provided a range of services, opportunities and facilities to support our diverse student community.
- Delivered welcome sessions for new international students covering important topics such as student systems, enrolment assistance, support services, and beach safety in Australia, as well as providing an opportunity to connect with your peers.
- Partnered with community groups and local councils to facilitate beach and water safety programs.
- Opened a multifaith centre on Wollongong campus offering a range of supports and services for students from diverse faith backgrounds.
- Increased the number of low sensory spaces on all UOW campuses to benefit the wellbeing of our students, staff and neurodiverse members of our community.
- Invested in revitalising spaces for independent student associations such as WUSA, WUPA, Queer Collective, Tertangala, and the student ombudsman and student advocates.
- Developed a UOW Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Framework to build a university where all students and staff feel welcome and valued.

Offering opportunities for you to engage with industry partners and get real-world experience.
- Hosting industry events throughout the year, such as our flagship Graduate Careers Expo, GradStart Nursing Event, Careers in the Financial Services Industry, Careers in STEM… and more!
- Creating more opportunities within courses for students to engage in work integrated learning experiences.
- Offering development and networking opportunities to connect with alumni mentors through the Career Connect and UOW Mentoring Program.
