Bachelor of Social Work

Applicants are asked to complete the Course Transfer form and include the following documentation:

  • A one page covering letter stating why you want to undertake the degree and what you will bring to the profession;
  • A Curriculum Vitae, including any relevant volunteer experience or paid employment and contact details from a maximum of two referees.

Requests to change campus may be accepted for Spring session. New transfers into the course will only be accepted for Autumn session. Students may be required to attend an interview.

Transferring into the Bachelor of Arts in Western Civilisation

Current students who are interested in transferring must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a full-time student
  • Have successfully completed two full sessions of study or 8 subjects; and
  • Achieved a WAM (Weighted Average Mark) of at least 82

Please Note:

  • All core subjects (WCIV prefix) totalling 96 credit points must be completed.
  • You may be eligible to receive credit for prior learning towards your chosen major or the non BAWICV side of a double degree. (this will be considered as part of your application)
  • *Students applying to transfer into a BAWCIV degree will not be eligible to apply for the UOW Ramsay Scholarship*

 Current students that meet the above criteria and wish to apply for a 2021 start will have two application pathways depending on timing:

  • Pathway 1: apply via the annual admission process in UAC Connect (applications open July 20 and close August 19, 2020), refer to the School of Liberal Arts website for more details
  • Pathway 2: any applications after 19 August 2020, current students may submit a course transfer application directly to the Head of Students askuow@uow.edu.au  along with the required application essay. Note: applicants who are considered beyond their initial application will be required to sit an interview either in person or remotely.
