Commencing in February 2020

The UOW Tottenham Hotspur Global Football Program will offer students a unique opportunity to study a qualification of their choice at UOW's Wollongong campus, while also developing their football skills with training provided by fully qualified coaches from English Premier League (EPL) club Tottenham Hotspur.

The first of its kind, the program brings together one of the world's best-known football clubs and one of the world's best modern universities.

Students will undertake 16 - 20 hours of football training each week - around academic study - and will have opportunities for selection to compete at a local, national and international level.

Applications for 2020 are now open.

  • Applications open: 29 March 2019
  • Applications close: 23 August 2019
  • Successful applications will be advised by the end of September*
  • Enrolment and program start date: 17 February 2020

*Successful applicants will also be required to meet academic admission requirements for UOW/UOWC programs. 

The program costs $15,000 AUD per annum, per applicant.

Participants will receive:

  • 16 - 20 hours training per week for 36 weeks by FA & UEFA qualified Tottenham Hotspur coaches from the Club’s Academy & Global Football Development team
  • Compulsory players kit
  • Annual membership to the UniActive gym
  • Player registration fees with a local club

Applicants will be required to pay a non-refundable deposit at the time they accept their application.

Program fees will be paid in two payments: the first payment will be required to be made prior to the start of Autumn Session, and the second payment will be required to made prior to the start of Spring Session.

  • The program is open to applications from domestic and international students studying at – or applying to study at – UOW from 2020 for courses available at the Wollongong campus
  • Academic applications can be for a UOW degree or UOW College Australia academic or English qualification
  • The football program will be undertaken in addition to a student’s academic studies, on a full-fee paying basis
  • Applicants must provide a summary of their football playing career to date as part of their online application
  • Students applying for the program must also submit a separate application to study at UOW or UOW College, via the relevant application process
