Nicky Sloan is committed to building fair, inclusive communities in which all people are valued and supported to live rewarding lives. As Chief Executive Officer of Community Industry Group—the peak body representing not-for-profit community and human services organisations across southern NSW—she provides strategic leadership in public policy and advocacy across all three levels of government. In this role, Nicky advocates on behalf of service providers and for individuals, families, and communities experiencing vulnerability or disadvantage.
Nicky brings extensive experience across the community services sector, complemented by a diverse professional background spanning local government, marketing, the finance sector, and small business. She has significant governance expertise and currently serves as Chair of the Board of the Wollongong Conservatorium of Music, Deputy Chair of Regional Development Australia Illawarra Shoalhaven, and an Independent Non-Executive Director of Warrigal, a not-for-profit organisation specialising in services for older people.
Nicky holds degrees in Dementia Care, Community and Environment, and Marketing, as well as a Diploma of Project Management. She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the University of Wollongong.
