Anthony is an experienced education leader, impact investor and governance professional with deep expertise across Australia’s vocational and higher education sectors. He has co-founded and led major education organisations including Think: Education Group (now part of Torrens University) and Open Colleges Australia, building and scaling innovative institutions that delivered high-quality vocational and higher-education programs. Prior to this, he held executive strategy roles in IDP Education and co-authored a number of seminal studies in international education. Anthony has a strong interest in adult education, online learning, international student mobility and innovation in tertiary education.
Anthony has held several senior public-sector governance and advisory roles. He was appointed by the NSW Minister of Education to the NSW Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board (VETAB, 2009-2011), contributing directly to regulatory oversight, quality assurance and standards setting across the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. He was also appointed to the NSW Government Review of Tertiary Pathways Committee (2011–2012), where he advised on reforms to improve access, mobility and alignment between VET and higher education.
He is a co-founder of Pangaea Impact Investments, where he supports growth-stage education and social enterprises that combine commercial discipline with measurable social impact. Anthony is also a significant investor and board contributor in the digital skills and EdTech sector, including Academy Xi, supporting workforce transformation in areas such as AI, data and cyber security.
A University of Wollongong alumnus, Anthony has a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) with Merit. He also has a Master of Arts (Applied Buddhist Studies) from Nan Tien Institute, where his thesis critically assessed the role and impact of school-based mindfulness programs in preventing adolescent anxiety.
