Abdul is broadly interested to investigate livelihood dynamics of wetland resources dependent community in Bangladesh. His current research aims to assess livelihood vulnerability resulting from climatic and anthropogenic stressors and shocks; how socially marginalized vulnerable people have taken various adaptive strategies using community and individual level knowledges, skills, cultures and resources; and how institutional influences, social power relations, and political intentionality affect resilience activities to achieve sustainable livelihoods.
