Flexible majors

Build a degree around you

Many UOW degrees feature our Flexible Major structure, designed to give our students the perfect balance of clarity, choice and career-ready skills.

You’ll graduate in the same amount of time as a standard three-year degree, but with more ways to shape it around your interests, strengths and goals.

Flexible Major degrees are made up of three parts:

  • Core foundations

You’ll complete a set of core subjects that build essential knowledge in your chosen field, finishing with a capstone project in your final year. This ensures you graduate with strong disciplinary expertise and real-world experience.

  • Your major

Choose a major aligned to your degree and develop deep specialist knowledge in the area that excites you most.

  • Your flexible 'zone'

You can use this part of your degree to:

This means you can combine Business with Creative Arts; Science with International Studies; Criminology with Communications.

The choice is yours!
