Overview

With a strong focus on the creative industries, this double degree offers insight into how producers and consumers interact in a media-saturated world and connects hands-on creativity with critical reflection.

The Bachelor of Creative Arts immerses you in the creative industries and challenges you to think deeply and broadly about the changing world and the role the arts play within it.

Throughout the degree you will develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become a leading creative professional in your chosen field. You can specialise in Creative Writing, Music, Performance and Theatre, Visual Arts, or Visual Arts and Design.

The Bachelor of Communication and Media helps you become an effective communicator using a range of media platforms, skills that are in high demand across many employment sectors from business to nonprofit to government agencies. We support your learning with state-of-the-art facilities including a fully equipped television and video production studio, radio studios and podcasting suites, design labs, and film production spaces.

For students studying in 2025, see the course handbook for more information.

For students planning to study in 2026, see the course handbook for more information.

A double degree at UOW provides a world-class qualification in less time and at less cost than studying the two degrees separately. Having a double degree will give you a competitive advantage in a crowded job market.
