Learn how to take an organisational problem from initial investigation through to a practical technology solution. You’ll analyse business requirements, model processes and data, design information systems, develop technical solutions and communicate recommendations to different stakeholders.
Applied projects build throughout your degree. In Management Information Systems for example, you’ll learn how to investigate organisational needs, identify problems or opportunities and design systems that align with business objectives. Your business subjects provide further context for understanding how organisations operate, while higher-level computing and information technology electives let you shape your studies around areas such as analysis, data, applications, databases or systems.
In your final year, you’ll bring your business and technology knowledge together in a team capstone project. Working from a real-world problem provided by an industry partner, you’ll contribute to the analysis, design and development of an application or digital solution. This experience develops your ability to manage project work, collaborate with others and translate stakeholder needs into an implementable system.
