Hi, my name is Sanjoli. Hi, I’m Dion. Hey, I’m Mitch.

So, an RA to me is someone whose responsibility it is to create atmosphere and a sense of community for all residences. As an RA we also plan events so as to engage the community and make them feel at home although they're away from home, and to create a home, an encouraging inviting support system in essentially what for a lot of us is a new place and if it's not a new country it's definitely a new environment with new challenges.

We’re such a diverse campus and such a diverse university there's so many opportunities for every single person to get involved. Definitely give everything a go. Reach out to someone, talk to someone if they're at the cafe or just speak to someone new and change someone's day or year. Well I definitely recommend going for the RA role.

I see it as a symbiotic relationship where you take a lot from the community - you get to hone your skills and your passion of engaging with the community, but also then you give back to the community and you make sure that whatever knowledge or experience or passion you have that actually can be reflected in what you do as an RA. There's no better time to be an RA - change someone's life, change yourself. Apply today.
