UOW’s School of Science explores the chemical, life and environmental sciences to advance knowledge, drive innovation, and address challenges ranging from human health to environmental sustainability.
As a research-led school, our teaching is informed by world-class research and delivered through hands-on learning in laboratories, the field, and industry-relevant environments.
Our disciplines provide students with diverse pathways across the sciences:
- Chemistry – developing new molecules, materials and technologies that support advances in health, industry and environmental monitoring.
- Ecology and Conservation Biology – understanding and protecting biodiversity through research in ecology, genetics and conservation.
- Earth and Environmental Sciences – tackling climate change, environmental management and resource sustainability.
- Cell and Molecular Biology – exploring life at the cellular and molecular level to address major health challenges including cancer, neurological disease and antimicrobial resistance.
