School of Accounting, Economics and Finance

Developing socially innovative thinkers

The School of Accounting, Economics and Finance ensures that our teaching embeds the latest ideas and practices, providing students with the relevant skills and conceptual understandings necessary to flourish in professional careers. Our Working Paper Series is one way we share these emerging insights within the dynamic marketplace industry.

Long-term success requires the ability to think both strategically and critically, and we build these talents for our students through creative and innovative teaching practices and curricula.

Because we combine three disciplines that are closely related - accounting, economics and finance - our students enter the world of business and economics with a breadth of education that employers cherish.

We offer world-class, comprehensive degree programs that give students a great deal of choice in structuring their studies, whether at the undergraduate, masters, professional, or PhD levels of study. We work closely with the business community and with professional organisations, ensuring that our students meet the certification requirements needed to enter into professional positions.

Why study with us?

With a business degree, your options are endless. Learn sought-after skills that can be applied to your chosen industry anywhere in the world.

With my degree I'd like to eventually create my non-for-profit helping disadvantaged youth in Latin America. Finance and Accounting to me is the bones of how business works and provides you with business knowledge. I find that is valuable in the world. I want to integrate culture and business knowledge in order to facilitate change on the global scale.

When going for graduate roles, recruiters are interested in how well you can balance extra-curricular activities and employment while you study. The best decision I made while studying, was applying for a vacation program to gain exposure to the industry. This allowed me to practice some of the many skills I developed while at university.Daniel GraingerBachelor of Commerce (Dean's Scholar) (Accounting, Finance)
