Cognitive assessments

As we are a training clinic our capacity to provide assessments can change from year to year.  

We offer cognitive assessments for the following:

• Specific Learning Disorder
• ADHD
• Cognitive Ability (eg. Intellectual Disability or Giftedness)

The assessment will be conducted across 2-3 appointments, scheduled in one-week intervals.  The initial assessment interview (1-2 hours) is to gather background information and the reason for the assessment.  The first cognitive testing session (~3.5 hours) involves completing several psychometric tests in one session.  A second cognitive testing session is made and will be utilised if additional testing is required.

A feedback session is arranged after the report is complete (up to 6-8 weeks after assessment). Final payment must be made at this appointment.

We do not provide diagnostic assessments for Autism. 

Eligibility criteria:  When our waitlist is open, cognitive assessments are available to students (age 6+), concession and healh care card holders who are Illawarra and Shoalhaven residents.
