Get up to 75% off your postgraduate fees in 2023

Postgraduate study at UOW is now more affordable, with Commonwealth supported places available for all coursework postgraduate degrees in 2023*. Eligible students will have their fees subsidised by up to 75%. This part is a subsidy, not a loan, and you don't have to pay it back. This means the Australian government pays a major part of your course fees. Eligible students may also be able to access HECS-HELP to defer all or part of their course fees. There’s never been a better time to get a start on your postgraduate qualifications.

A UOW master degree is a recognised qualification that includes 8-18 postgraduate subjects aimed at providing you with specialised knowledge and skills in a specific study area. UOW offers a range of master degrees, see below for courses on offer.

A UOW graduate certificate is a recognised qualification that includes four postgraduate subjects in a specific study area. Graduate certificates can be undertaken as a stand-alone program and most can be used as a stepping stone to further postgraduate study. The four subjects offered are aligned with the course structure of at least one UOW masters degree, which mean you can progress into that degree if you’d like to continue studying.

 

Who is eligible for up to 75% off course fees?

If you are an Australian citizen, or a New Zealand Special Category Visa holder who meets the long-term residency requirements, or a holder of a permanent humanitarian visa you are eligible to be considered for a Government subsidised degree at UOW. Your eligibility is automatically considered when we assess your application.
