Overview

Organisations need leaders who understand both business strategy and project delivery. Studying a Master of Business with a Master of Project Management builds the capability to translate strategy into practical project plans, assess feasibility and manage risk to ensure work progresses effectively. 
 
You will learn how to manage the full project lifecycle, including planning, resourcing, managing risks, engaging stakeholders, communicating progress and closing projects effectively. With knowledge of both business operations and project delivery, you will gain the ability to communicate across functions and guide teams with confidence. 
 
Studying both master's together prepares you to coordinate organisational initiatives and deliver projects that contribute to business performance across a wide range of industries. You graduate ready to contribute in roles where structured thinking and confident project leadership drive success. 
 
By completing this double master’s program, students will earn two master’s degrees in two years and build expertise in two in-demand areas of business.

The Master of Business builds the fundamental skills you need to succeed in a broad commercial environment. Its flexible structure allows you to choose subjects that match your professional goals and strengthen your understanding of key business functions. 
 
The Master of Project Management explores how effective project management improves an organisation’s ability to plan, implement and control business activities. Throughout the program you develop practical capability across the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through to execution and closing. The course also introduces methods for managing risk, engaging stakeholders, and addressing common challenges within modern organisations. 
 
You will build confidence working with complex information, competing priorities, and changing organisational needs, ensuring projects remain aligned with broader operational requirements. The program also develops your capacity to work across teams and functions, support informed decision‑making, and maintain momentum throughout delivery. 
 
By bringing together broad business understanding and structured project management practices, you will graduate prepared to support organisational change, improve coordination and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. You will have the skills to add value in environments where effective planning, clear communication, and disciplined execution are critical to achieving sustainable business outcomes.

  • Academic Entry Requirements

    A recognised bachelor’s degree in any discipline with an equivalent average mark of 50%. 
    OR 
    A Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in any discipline with an equivalent average mark of 50%. 
    OR 
    A recognised master's degree in any discipline with an equivalent average mark of 50%. 

    Other tertiary qualifications, combined with extensive professional work experience, may also be considered.

  • Workload

    Full-Time Study Load

    As a full-time student, you can expect to commit around 48 hours of study per week. This includes class time and independent study. You may need to factor more time for examination study, practical work and placements.
