Overview

The combined Master of Business Analytics and Master of Human Resource Management responds to the growing role of people analytics by developing integrated analytical and human resource management capability. Studying these master's together equips you with the skills to analyse workforce trends, forecast talent needs and support evidence‑based HR decisions. You develop capability across the full analytics lifecycle, from managing data and creating dashboards to applying descriptive, predictive and prescriptive techniques that help you understand past performance, anticipate future trends and determine effective actions. Practical learning with widely used analytics tools supports your ability to turn workforce information into insights that guide informed decision‑making.

Alongside this analytical development, you will build strong expertise in recruitment, performance management, learning and development, workplace health and safety and employment law. This combined skill set prepares you to design sustainable people strategies, influence culture and talent outcomes, and contribute confidently to complex organisational environments.

By completing this double master’s program, students will earn two master’s degrees in two years and build expertise in two in-demand areas of business.

See the course handbook for more information.

The Master of Business Analytics equips you with the advanced analytical and technical capability needed to support evidence‑based decision‑making across all areas of an organisation. You gain experience preparing and managing data, designing dashboards and visual stories, and applying analytics techniques such as forecasting, optimisation and machine learning. Practical learning using widely adopted industry tools gives you the confidence to transform complex workforce and organisational information into insights that inform strategic decisions.

The Master of Human Resource Management builds the professional capability required to manage, develop and lead people effectively. You explore recruitment and selection, performance management, learning and development, workplace health and safety, and the legal and regulatory requirements that shape the employment relationship. The degree prepares aspiring managers and team leaders to build positive workplace cultures, enhance employee experience and support organisational performance through strategic HR practice.

Studying both master's develops your practical capability to use data in everyday people and culture decision‑making. You will gain experience working with workforce information to support planning, evaluation and continuous improvement across human resource functions. The program also strengthens your ability to communicate insights clearly, helping ensure data is understood and applied effectively by leaders, managers, and HR teams.
