Key dates relating to graduation applications, ceremonies and updating preferences.

Application and conferral dates

Application and conferral dates – Autumn 2026

Applications open on 22 December 2025
Applications close on 19 June 2026

May 2026 Event
15 May 2026

Last date for students to:

  • Meet all course requirements met, and have any outstanding grades declared.
  • Ensure personal and course details are correct
  • Pay any outstanding fees.
  • Complete any compulsory learning Modules.
  • Update mailing address for postage of academic documents.
  • Submit cross-institutional results.
  • Provide USI.

Last date for HDR students to submit final thesis documentation to Graduate Research School to complete degree.

Students must not have any outstanding misconduct investigations to be conferred.
22 May 2026 Students notified of inclusion in conferral round by email.
29 May 2026 May conferral of Awards.
Eligible to attend November Graduation ceremonies.
3 June 2026 Digital academic documents published to MyEquals.
26 June 2026 Hardcopy academic documents received.

 

July 2026 Event
10 July 2026

Last date for students to:

Ceremony dates

April 2026 – UOW Wollongong campus

Dates: Monday, 20 April – Friday, 24 April, 2026   
Venue: University Hall, Building 11, UOW Wollongong campus

July 2026 – Liverpool

Graduation ceremonies will be held in Liverpool in July 2026 for graduates from UOW Liverpool and Sutherland campuses. Eligibly students will be contacted directly in April with further details. 

Please note: Liverpool and Sutherland graduates won’t receive an invitation to Wollongong graduation ceremonies in April 2026, as they’ll be invited to Liverpool ceremonies in July instead.

November 2026 – UOW Wollongong campus

Dates: Week of 2 November, 2026
Venue:  University Hall, Building 11, UOW Wollongong campus.
