Welcome to the School of Physics at the University of Wollongong.

We pride ourselves on being a globally renowned institution, dedicated to research and known for our exceptional undergraduate programs and postgraduate training. Our focus is on delivering high-quality education that is innovative and centered around our students.

Within the School of Physics, we offer a range of degree programs including physics, biomolecular physics, atmospheric physics, nuclear and space radiation technology, and medical radiation physics. We also provide opportunities for double degrees in conjunction with engineering, arts, creative arts, and mathematics.

Our degree offerings encompass undergraduate programs with both end-on and integrated honours, as well as master's programs through coursework and research, such as the Master of Research, and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.).

Australian Institute of Physics

All undergraduate physics degrees offered by the University of Wollongong are accredited by the Australian Institute of Physics.  

Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine

All postgraduate medical radiation physics degrees offered by the University of Wollongong are accredited by the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine.

Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs 

All postgraduate medical radiation physics degrees offered by the University of Wollongong are  also accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs.
