Wollongong Academy for Tertiary Teaching & Learning Excellence (WATTLE) 

WATTLE is a leadership community dedicated to providing space for teaching and learning recognition, development, passion and dialogue. Every member of staff is welcome to become members of this Academy. WATTLE aims to create a community of practice where a diversity of expertise can be recognised and utilised to further teaching and learning at UOW and beyond.

Centre for Higher Education Research, Innovation and Impact (CHERII) 

CHERII is a research group coordinated by the School of Education that seeks to advance knowledge to inform solutions to the many challenges and pressures facing the Higher Education sector.

Educational Developers network 

The Educational Developer Network (Ed Dev Network) brings together staff from across UOW who are passionate about learning and teaching and interested in sharing ideas, discussing issues and promoting quality learning and teaching practice.  The network meets regularly to talk informally about a variety of topics and is free and open to all UOW staff to join.

Australasian Society for Computers in Learning in Tertiary Education (ASCILITE) 

A professional association for those engaged in the educational use of technologies in tertiary education. UOW holds unlimited membership, which offers participation in the webinar series (practice and research streams), participation in the varied Special Interest Groups, an opportunity to gain recognition through the ASCILITE Awards program and access to ASCILITE’s peer reviewed journal AJET, among other things.

Higher Education Research and Development Society of Australasia (HERDSA) 

HERDSA is a scholarly society for people committed to the advancement of higher and tertiary education. It aims to promote the development of higher education policy, practice and the study of teaching and learning. HERDSA encourages and disseminates research on teaching and learning and higher education development. It also works to build strong academic communities.

AdvanceHE 

AdvanceHE is a member-led, sector-owned charity that works with institutions and higher education across the world to improve higher education for staff, students and society. Support is delivered through professional development programmes and events, Fellowships, awards, student surveys, providing strategic change and consultancy services and through membership (including accreditation of teaching and learning, equality charters, research, knowledge and resources).

Australian Collaborative Education Network (ACEN) 

ACEN is the professional association for practitioners and researchers from the tertiary education sector, industry, community and government representatives, involved in work integrated learning (WIL) in Australia. ACEN provides strategic leadership for work-integrated learning research, scholarship and practice in Australia, for its members and other stakeholders.

Australian Council on Open, Distance and e-learning (ACODE) 

ACODE's mission is to enhance policy and practice in Australasian higher education around technology enhanced learning and teaching at institutional, national and international levels through; sharing knowledge and expertise, supporting professional development and networking opportunities, investigating and developing new approaches, and promoting best practice.
