Life at UOW

Clubs & Societies

UOW has over 130 student run Clubs and Societies that focus on academics, culture, sport and hobbies. Clubs will allow you to immerse yourself in the social side of University and meet new friends. Through clubs, societies and events, you will meet people who share an interest with you and widen your social network beyond the people you study with.

UniActive

If you are looking to stay fit and active while here in Wollongong look no further than UniActive. UniActive provides the Wollongong community with top-class fitness and sporting facilities including 2 air-conditioned gyms, 50m heated outdoor swimming pool and extensive sporting facilities and ovals. As a UOW student you are entitled to various membership discounts and program access.

Eat and shop

You will be able to satisfy any craving here with 9 coffee shops, 20+ food outlets, a bar and a supermarket on campus. From Pide to Indian, Pizza, Sushi and Bubble tea you can explore the cultures of the campus through taste. And if you're after some retail therapy or need to run some errands, there's plenty of shops on campus to help you out, including UniShop, a post office, banks, dentist, physio, medical centre, hairdresser and travel agent.

International Students Programs

International Student Programs (ISP) connects students with people from all over the world offering opportunities to make new friends, develop skills, and link to the local community. Improve your English with our English Conversational Group or make use of our international support services.
