The University of Wollongong has been a ‘Deferment Only’ institution since June 2023 for US Financial Aid (Title IV). As a deferment only institution, the University is still eligible to certify and disburse Sallie Mae loans in the short term but this may be subject to change in the future. Please contact the Fees and Scholarships team at financial-aid@uow.edu.au. to discuss further.
Currently Sallie Mae is the only lender offering private student education loans to students studying outside of the USA. You can view information regarding the “smart option” loan and submit your applications on-line.
