Overview

Studying a Master of Business with a Master of Business Analytics gives you the knowledge and skills to understand how organisations operate and how to use big data to analyse business performance.

Employers value graduates who can interpret data, uncover opportunities, and recommend actions that improve results. By studying both master's, you will build strong business foundations while developing the ability to use analytics to improve outcomes and drive innovation.

You will gain comprehensive knowledge of core business disciplines, including management, strategy and organisational behaviour, and will develop the skills to apply this knowledge to real-world challenges.

By completing this double master’s program, students will earn two master’s degrees in two years and build expertise in two in-demand areas of business.

The Master of Business gives you the fundamental skills you need for a successful career in business, even if you come from a non‑business background. There is flexibility to choose the subjects that align with your professional development goals, allowing you to build your capability across key areas of organisational practice. 

The Master of Business Analytics develops advanced skills in data analysis, artificial intelligence and machine learning, supporting evidence based decision making in contemporary organisations. 

You will work across the full analytics lifecycle, from preparing and managing data to designing dashboards and visual narratives. You will use descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics techniques, including forecasting, optimisation and AI‑driven insights, to support clear and effective decision‑making. 

You will work with industry tools such as Python, SQL, Power BI, SAS Viya and advanced Excel. Learn to generate insights, align them with organisational objectives and communicate them clearly to decision‑makers. 

After finishing both master's degrees, you will be uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between business and analytics. You will be prepared to lead data-informed initiatives, contribute to digital transformation, create measurable competitive advantage, and turn complex insights into meaningful action.

  • Academic Entry Requirements

    A recognised bachelor’s degree in any discipline with an equivalent average mark of 50%. 
    OR 
    A Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in any discipline with an equivalent average mark of 50%.

    A recognised master's degree in any discipline with an equivalent average mark of 50%. 

    Other tertiary qualifications, combined with extensive professional work experience, may also be considered.

  • Workload

    Full-Time Study Load

    As a full-time student, you can expect to commit around 48 hours of study per week. This includes class time and independent study. You may need to factor more time for examination study, practical work and placements.
