How is this program run?

This program is running in-person and online.


What will I do?

PASS Leaders are students who have previously shown competence in the subject that is being supported. You will be recruited on the basis of your academic performance and your organisational and interpersonal skills. As a PASS Leader, you would run approximately 2-3 PASS sessions per week.

PASS Leaders are offered significant personal and professional development opportunities of a diverse nature.


How do I apply?

PASS Leader recruitment process commences in August-October. Invitations to apply for PASS positions are emailed to students who have recently completed subjects we are recruiting for and received a distinction or higher in that subject.

If you did not receive an email invitation, you are still able to apply if you have completed the subject supported by PASS.
Students are advised to look at the UOW jobs board for the application information.


Are there any special requirements for this role?

Yes, to become a PASS Leader you must have completed the subject that you are applying to support, must have achieved at least a distinction in the subject and have a distinction average overall.


Minimum requirements for UOWx recognition

To receive UOWx recognition, you must complete the following:

  • An "engaged student" will need to complete 20 hours in a calendar year.
  • A "highly engaged" student will need to complete 60 hours in a calendar year.
