Orientation

Get Started at UOW!

Orientation at UOW isn’t a single event, it’s a full program that spans your whole first session. We’ve designed a series of support, connection, and learning opportunities to help you settle in and succeed.

By getting involved, you’ll learn everything you need to know about your course, faculty, classes and campus, and meet staff and fellow students before Week 1 begins. Whether you need enrolment advice, help navigating UOW systems, tips for accessing services, or you’re looking to make friends and get involved, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Upcoming Orientations at UOW

School of Nursing Orientation

Students commencing in the Bachelor of Nursing (Enrolled Nurses – Dip Nursing Entry) or Master of Nursing (Pre-Registration) in January 2026 must attend their compulsory Orientation. This will help you settle into UOW and set you up for success. Registration is required. An invitation will be sent to your personal email from mid-December.

 

Sydney Business School UOW Trimester 1 2026

Sydney Business School provides tailored Orientation programs designed to support domestic and international students starting their postgraduate Business degree. Registration is required, and an invitation will be sent to your personal email from January 2026.

 

Autumn Orientation 2026

Attending and making the most of your Orientation Day will set you up for success at UOW. You'll find out everything you need to know about your course, faculty, classes and campus. You'll also meet staff and some of your classmates, so you'll know some familiar faces in week one of session.

Our Autumn 2026 Orientation schedule starts in February. Select your campus below to see your schedule and save the date. Further information including times and details on how to register will be sent to your personal email in January 2025.

The Wollongong campus will hold their Faculty Orientation Days for commencing students on:

  • Tuesday, 24 February 2026 for the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences and Study Abroad and Exchange students
  • Wednesday, 25 February 2026 for the Faculty of Science, Medicine and Health
  • Thursday, 26 February 2026 for the Faculty of Arts, Society and Business. 

The Bega Valley campus will hold their Orientation Day for commencing students on Tuesday, 24 February, 2026.

The Eurobodalla campus will hold their Orientation Day for commencing students on:

  • Monday, 16 February, 2026, 10 am – 12 pm or
  • Thursday, 19 February, 2026, 3 pm – 5 pm.

Please note: Commencing students will only need to attend one of the two Orientation sessions.

The Liverpool campus will hold their Orientation Day for commencing students on:

  • Monday 23 February, 2026 
  • Tuesday, 24 February, 2026 

The Shoalhaven campus will hold their Orientation Day for commencing students on Wednesday, 18 February, 2026.

The Sutherland campus will hold their Orientation Day for commencing students on Friday, 27 February, 2026.

Your Online Orientation for Autumn 2025 will be held on Thursday, 26 February, 2026.
