Orientation at UOW goes beyond just one week. We've designed a full program spanning across your first session to help you ace uni. Whether you need enrolment advice, help finding resources and opportunities, or you're looking for fun times and new friendships, we've got you covered.

Spring 2025 Orientation

We can't wait to welcome you to UOW!

We know that each student’s path to starting University is a little different. With that in mind, we are excited to bring you our 2025 Orientation program – It’s Go Time!

This program focuses on 3 key themes: Get Started, Connect and Succeed. We’ve designed opportunities both online and in-person for you to get involved in.

Attending and making the most of It’s Go Time! will set you up for success at UOW. You'll find out everything you need to know about your course, faculty, classes and campus. You'll also meet staff and some of your classmates, so you'll know some familiar faces in week one of Spring Session.

Your invitation to register for Spring Orientation will be sent to your personal email in June.                         

Please note:

  • If you’re commencing a degree with the Sydney Business School, your 2025 Trimester Orientation details can be found here.
  • Students undertaking the Bachelor of Nursing (Enrolled Nurses - Dip Nursing Entry), or the Master of Nursing (Pre-Registration) will study in non-standard sessions across their degree. Please refer to the School of Nursing Session Dates page for more information.

Get Started at UOW

This in-person event on Thursday, 17 July, 2025 is your chance to connect with fellow new students through fun activities and mini-workshops to master essential skills for success at UOW.

You can also access personalised support early to ensure you’re set up and ready to commence your study — from assistance enrolling into your course to guidance on key services and programs. 

Faculty Orientation Day

Wollongong campus will hold their Faculty Orientation Day for commencing students on Tuesday, 22 July, 2025.

Attending your Faculty Orientation Day is important. You will receive information about your course, faculty, classes and campus. You'll also meet staff and some of your classmates, so you'll know some familiar faces in week one of Spring Session.

We’re here to make sure you're fully set up and ready to kick off your UOW journey with confidence before session starts. 

The Bega Valley campus will be offering individualised Orientation sessions for their commencing students. Please get in touch with campus staff to organise a time via phone (02) 6494 7035 or email bega@uow.edu.au

The Eurobodalla campus will be offering individualised Orientation sessions for their commencing students. Please get in touch with campus staff to organise a time via phone (02) 4472 2125 or email bbay-enquiries@uow.edu.au 

The Liverpool campus will hold their Orientation Day for commencing students on Tuesday, 22 July, 2025.

The Sutherland campus will hold their Orientation Day for commencing students on Wednesday, 16 July, 2025.
