Orientation at UOW goes beyond just one week. We've designed a full program spanning across your first session to help you ace uni. Whether you need enrolment advice, help finding resources and opportunities, or you're looking for fun times and new friendships, we've got you covered.
Orientation
School of Nursing Orientation
Students commencing in the Bachelor of Nursing (Enrolled Nurses – Dip Nursing Entry) or Master of Nursing (Pre-Registration) in January 2026 must attend their compulsory Orientation. This will help you settle into UOW and set you up for success. Registration is required. An invitation will be sent to your personal email from mid-December.

Upcoming Orientations
Autumn 2026
Attending and making the most of your Orientation Day will set you up for success at UOW. You'll find out everything you need to know about your course, faculty, classes and campus. You'll also meet staff and some of your classmates, so you'll know some familiar faces in week one of session.
Our Autumn 2026 Orientation schedule starts in February. Keep an eye out for further information.
Additional Orientations at UOW
- New students commencing an undergraduate Business degree at UOW in Summer Session 2025/2026 will have a dedicated Summer Orientation program. Details will be directly communicated closer to the date.
- Students commencing a postgraduate Business degree with the Sydney Business School can access their Trimester Orientation details here.
- Students commencing a Bachelor of Nursing (Enrolled Nurses - Dip Nursing Entry), or the Master of Nursing (Pre-Registration) will study in non-standard sessions across their degree. Please refer to the School of Nursing Session Dates page for your Orientation Information.
