Future industries
Our expertise
Our researchers are developing the advanced materials, devices, instrumentation and digital systems that make low-carbon manufacturing possible – from next-generation battery and hydrogen technologies to the sensors and control systems that make heavy industry more efficient. This research doesn't stop at the lab. It's translated into industry-ready processes and connected to the workforce pipelines needed to apply it at scale, addressing shortages in electricians, hydrogen technicians and clean-energy engineers.
Core streams
- Industrial decarbonisation and clean energy systems
- Advanced materials and manufacturing systems
- Digital sovereignty and secure systems
- Technology translation and industry hubs
