Borrowing 2-day loans

Textbooks and high-demand items are shelved with other print material in their subject areas, and are available for loan.

Subject textbooks, not available online as e-resources, are limited to a 2-day loan.

Your subject readings may include items available on a 2-day loan.

Fines apply for late return of 2-hour and 2-day loan items.

Placing holds

Holds allow you to request items already on loan. Holds cannot be placed on items that are on loan when there are copies available for loan in the library. Holds not available for 2-hour loans, 2-day loans, or equipment.

To place a hold on an item:

  1. click the "Hold" button above the item record
  2. follow the login prompts.

A recall notice will then be emailed to the borrower, notifying them of a new due date.

You'll be notified by email when the item is available for pickup at your Library (you must collect the item within seven days).

Renewing items

General collection items can be renewed online, in person or by phone (02 4221 3545), up to 30 days after their due date.

Unlimited renewals are available, however, some items like 2-day loans, equipment, or recalled items, cannot be renewed.

BONUS+ items and session loans can be renewed twice.

Returning items to Wollongong Campus Library
