There are multiple modes to complete FIM or WeeFIM training:
- In-person Training and Credentialing (ipTAC): an in-person trainer-lead workshop with completion of the exam in your own time. Available for both the FIM and WeeFIM instruments.
- Virtual Training and Credentialing (vTAC): a virtual trainer lead workshop with completion of the exam in your own time. Available for both the FIM and WeeFIM instruments.
- COMING SOON - Online Training and Credentialing (onTAC): a series of self-paced online e-learning modules for FIM followed by the exam. Will be available for the FIM instrument.
ipTAC - To register for a FIM or WeeFIM Open, or a FIM Facility Trainer (train the trainer) Workshop, click the corresponding Register button in the table below. Please complete the required registration form (and application form for the Facility Trainer workshop), and email it to FIM. Registration generally closes two weeks before the workshop. Pricing details are provided below.
To arrange for an AROC FIM or WeeFIM Master Trainer to conduct a workshop at your facility, download and complete the workshop request form, and email the completed form to FIM. FIM workshop at your site conducted by AROC Master Trainer (PDF).
vTAC - FIM or WeeFIM virtual training is available for Community Assessors only. Workshop dates and registration details can be accessed on the Community Assessors page.
onTAC – FIM Online Training and Credentialing COMING SOON
AROC conducts training for the FIM (Functional Independence Measure) and not the AFM (Australian Functional Measure) – an Aged Care assessment tool. The FIM and AFM are different assessment tools.
