Health and Wellbeing Strategy
UOW’s Health and Wellbeing Strategy aims to address global and regional health challenges by leveraging our expertise in medical research, research application, education and our focus on high impact science. It harnesses and builds upon the collective talent across UOW and its partners to deliver world-class health and medical research, education, research translation and physical and mental health outcomes for our regional and state communities.
The delivery of these initiatives are a natural step of taking UOW from a university with strengths in science and engineering, and a leading medical program, to the next level for improving the health of the Illawarra and Shoalhaven.
As 2019 draws to a close, we are excited to annouce a new initiative in the evolution of the strategy.
Flourishing – People, place and care
"Bringing together researchers from the social sciences and companion disciplines to develop, deliver, and evaluate, community-led approaches to health and wellbeing that overcome disadvantage and improve outcomes"
We will bring you updates on this initiative as it develops throughout 2020.
