December 2019 saw the first group of students to graduate from the UOW South Western Sydney Campus within the Faculties of Business and Engineering and Information Sciences. The achievements made by the students have been significant, with some working outside of their comfort zone to grow to have new experiences and develop deep relationships with other students and UOW.
One such student is Uma (Megan) Saesiew who; besides Graduating with Distinction with a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing and Management) and International Studies Minor, spent six months on a study exchange in 2018 after receiving a $7000 grant given by the Faculty of Business with an internship with the Australian-Thai chambers of commerce. Due to her academic achievements, Megan was also invited to become a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society. Throughout her studies with UOW, Megan has also worked with at UOW in the Student Services Division, Outreach & Pathways Team and International Admissions. This work has allowed her to develop her skills in customer service, event management, marketing and communications and stakeholder management.
While Megan has carved a special place within the SWS campus, all the 2019 Graduating students have achieved success and with this, congratulations, good luck and thank you for being part of the UOW South Western Sydney Campus.
