The Future of Rights Centre (FoRC), formerly the Centre for Critical Human Rights Research, brings together humanities and social science researchers interested in exploring how past and present understandings of human rights at the global, Asia-Pacific, and local levels will help to inform the future.
We explore human rights through both historical and contemporary lenses, focusing on a range of issues including development, forced migration and conflict, labour rights, and sex, gender, and sexualities. Informed by and engaging critically with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, we are committed to collaborative, interdisciplinary, activist, and community-engaged research.
