Component Description
Total amount $8,500 paid in two instalments 
Commencement Spring 2026
Enrolment requirement

New onshore commencing student in Spring 2026, not previously enrolled at any UOW, UOWGE or UOWC campus.

Commencing in an undergraduate degree at a UOW Australian campus

Enrolled in a full-time load with no remaining debt as at census date of each session for payment to be distributed

Application requirements

Applicants must submit a form as part of their application for admissions:

Provide a short statement describing how the scholarship will assist you to complete your studies at the University? 

Word Limit: 200 words

Selection criteria

  • Applicants must be onshore when applying
  • Must be new to UOW and eligible for admission to undergraduate Spring 2026
  • Applicants must be 18 at the time of commencement in their UOW course
  • Applicants can apply directly or through a recognised UOW agent (where applicable)
  • Applicants must provide:
    • A short statement describing how the scholarship will assist you to complete your studies at the University? Word Limit: 200 words 
  • Applicants must receive an offer to an eligible UOW undergraduate course commencing in Spring 2026 at the time of applying for the scholarship.
  • Applicants will NOT be considered if under release requirements at another Australian registered provider.

 

Application

Applications are open for the Illawarra & Liverpool International Community Undergraduate Enrolment Scholarship. Submit your application before 31 May 2026 as part of your admission application to be considered. 

What can the scholarship be used for?

Anything that supports your University study: tuition, textbooks, equipment, technology, travel or uniforms.

When will I know if I’ve been selected?

Applicants will be notified of eligibility as part of their offer letter. Eligible students will only receive payment upon maintaining eligibility through being enrolled and paying fees by census date of each session.

Does this affect my Tuition Fees?

No. This payment does not impact tuition fees. Eligible applicants will be required to pay their tuition fees in full to remain enrolled at census date. Any outstanding fees will result in students not being eligible for payment.

Will this affect any scholarship/s I have been offered at UOW?

No. This scholarship can be held alongside other UOW international scholarships. Students are encouraged to apply for all scholarships they may be eligible for.
