Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarship, students must;
- Hold either a temporary protection/humanitarian/safe haven visas or are on a bridging visa with a pending application for a protection visa. These include the following specific visa types:
- Temporary Humanitarian Stay Visa (Subclass 449);
- Temporary Protection Visa (Subclass 785);
- Temporary Humanitarian Visa (Subclass 786);
- Safe Haven Enterprise Visa (Subclass 790);
- Bridging Visa A (Subclass 010) and have made application for a Protection Visa / Asylum;
- Bridging Visa E (Subclass 030 or 051) and have made application for a Protection Visa/Asylum
- Remain on the applicable visa as per application requirements;
- Not eligible for a Commonwealth Support Place and/or Assistance;
- Maintain enrolment at the University on Wollongong at an Australian onshore campus;
- Be enrolled or received offer to commence at UOW in 2026;
- Students must not be receiving any other scholarship, sponsorship, bursary or discount (excluding stipend scholarships) for the same course.
- Students who transfer will no longer be eligible for the scholarship.
Applications
Applicants must submit an expression of interest to confirm their eligibility.
Applications will be assessed until the allocation limit has been reached, after which no further offers will be made.
