Students have the option to apply for an Integrated Masters Package, where they can reduce the duration of their Business Master’s Degree. This advanced study option combines a UOW business undergraduate degree and a variety UOW postgraduate business degrees to allow students to advance and broaden their business knowledge, giving them a competitive advantage in the job market. The degrees are completed consecutively so that after successful completion of the bachelor’s degree, students receive a transfer of course credits that will allow them to complete their business master’s degree in shorter time (1 year), and for less expense.

Student’s also have the option to package a second business master’s degree which will enable them to gain two Business Master’s Degrees in two years.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Individual Applicants under this Credit Transfer Arrangement must consult the Faculty of Business before enrolling in any subjects to assure they meet the University’s graduation requirements.

 

CREDIT TRANSFER NOTES

  • To receive maximum credit transfer (UOWA 72 credit points), students must achieve a minimum average grade of 50%.

To be eligible for admission into the UOWA Bachelor of Business Administration – Malaysia (3091), students must be granted the full 72 credit points of credit transfer, including all specified credit as outlined in the approved pathway. This requirement can be met either through successful completion of the required UOWM undergraduate subjects, or through a combination of the completed two-year UOWM Diploma and one semester of undergraduate study at UOWM (comprising four 4-credit-point subjects), as specified in the agreement above.

Students who are not granted maximum credit transfer, or unable to be granted the required specified credit, may apply for entry into the UOWA Bachelor of Business – Australia (3090), however will not be eligible for the Dual Award.  Individual applications will be assessed for entry and credit transfer on a case-by-case basis.

  • Credit transfers granted into UOWM programs are not automatically transferred or recognised by UOWA unless they are awarded based on a current, formal UOWA credit transfer pathway as outlined on our credit transfer pathway website, and all specified requirements are met.

Any credit transfer granted outside the UOWM Pathway programs will be assessed by the UOWA BAL International Unit during the standard application process to determine if the credit can be recognised under UOWA’s credit transfer policies and procedures.

If credit transfer cannot be recognised, and students are unable to be granted the full 72 credit points of credit transfer, they may need to complete the necessary subject(s), as specified in the above agreement, before commencing the UOWA degree.

Credit transfer will not be recognised by UOWA based on an incomplete AQF Diploma qualification, or an AQF Certificate IV or below.

 

DUAL AWARD NOTES

To be eligible for the Dual Award, students must:

  • Be granted the full 72 credit points of credit transfer from UOWA (including all necessary specified credit) as outlined in the approved pathway.
  • Complete a total of 31 subjects, comprising:

The required 19 UOWM subjects (equivalent to 72 UOWM credit points), including the Internship, completed within the UOWM Bachelor of Business (Honours) program in Malaysia.

The required 12 UOWA subjects (equivalent to 72 UOWA credit points), completed within the Bachelor of Business Administration (3091) program, either in Malaysia (3264) or Australia (3091).
