Offering catered rooms and located only minutes from our Wollongong campus and the North Wollongong train station, I-House is a great accommodation option for students wanting to live on-campus while studying. I-House features recently renovated facilities, indoor and outdoor dining areas, plus study and meeting rooms – everything you need to balance out your student life.

Catered rooms

I-House offers students 14 meals per week, which can be enjoyed in the dining room or the newly renovated comfort of "The Courtyard": al-fresco style dining. Breakfast and dinner are served Monday to Sunday. On weekends, brunch and an evening meal are served. A wide range of food is available and all dietary, religious and lifestyle requirements can be catered for. Find out more about catering at I-House.

Located next to North Wollongong train station, I-House is only a couple of minutes’ walk from the main train line that can take you to Sydney and beyond or south to Nowra. Whether you want to travel for work, visit your family or just go on a weekend outing, you have many options at your fingertips. Located just down the street from I-House is the free shuttle bus that can take you directly to UOW. I-House is close enough to campus that you can enjoy the great outdoors by walking or riding a bike on your way to class.

Catering at I-House

The Dining Room and The Courtyard are the hubs of the I-House community. It's the meeting place – and often the happening place – for activities and events organised by the Resident Ambassadors, and a great place to catch up with friends and staff.

Healthy and delicious meals are included in your weekly room rate, with 14 meals per week (daily breakfast and dinner) provided.

The 4-week cyclic menu has been assessed against the Smart Food Nutrition and Menu Planning Standards which assesses nutritional adequacy and menu variety. See a sample of our summer menu here. 

All dietary requirements can be catered for including health, religious, lifestyle or other. If you have any concerns or requirements, please see the kitchen staff.

Breakfast: 7.30am to 10.30am – Monday to Saturday

Sunday Brunch: 9.00am to 11.00am

Menu can include

Flavoured yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereals, assorted breads, condiments and accompanying beverages.

Hot breakfast will be served four times a week and may include eggs, grilled bacon, pancakes and more!

Dinner: 5.30pm to 7.30pm daily

Four main meal choices (including a vegetarian option) with accompanying sides, fresh bread, fruit and salad bar. Ice cream or frozen yogurt will be available nightly with a special dessert made three times a week.
