Student Amenities Fees

About SAF

Australian universities, including UOW, have a Student Services and Amenities Fee (SAF) which is used to enhance the services and amenities for students across UOW. The fee is based on Commonwealth legislation introduced in October 2011. The introduction of the fee was approved by University Council on 2 December 2011 and introduced at UOW from Autumn session 2012.

The 2018 SAF: Student Services and Amenities Student Survey will be open from 13 April 2017 - 12 May 2017.  The survey is quick and easy to complete, we encourage students to take a few minutes to participate and let us know the areas where they would like to see SAF spent.  In addition the survey provides an opportunity for students to lodge a submission requesting SAF funding for a project idea.  Access to the survey will be provided via SOLS on 13 April to enrolled student (on-shore).  For any questions about SAF, lodging a submission, or the survey, please email the Manager - SAF and Student Projects
