About

The Graduate Research School is dedicated to supporting Higher Degree Research candidates by managing all aspects of candidature, from enrolment to thesis submission and examination.

A message from the Dean

Welcome to the UOW graduate research experience.

Here is a puzzle for you. Technology is shifting so rapidly. The skills and capabilities you develop today might be obsolete in the future. How can you develop advanced skills now that will be valued in the future?

Graduate researchers are at the forefront of new ideas, new skills and technology. They develop advanced skills to adapt to and embrace change as it occurs. In undertaking a research degree, candidates develop the capacity to identify the cause of problems, propose, test and refine innovative solutions, and develop the capacity to communicate and inspire.

Because of these advanced skills, at UOW we listen carefully. We empower our students. We trial and test the initiatives that graduate researchers suggest. And we develop courses that benefit our candidates, regardless of their background and aspirations.
