How do I get started?

Taking the first step towards support can feel overwhelming, but we're here to help guide you through the process.

Whether you're seeking therapy, a cognitive assessment, or information about our group programs, our team can help determine the most appropriate service for your needs.

Step 1: Contact the clinic

Get in touch with Northfields Psychology Clinic by phone or email to discuss your needs and ask any questions you may have. Our team will talk with you about the support you are seeking and explain the services currently available.

Step 2: Join the waitlist

If a suitable service is available, you will be placed on the relevant waitlist for therapy, assessment, or a group program. Wait times can vary throughout the year depending on demand and clinic capacity.

Step 3: Attend your appointment

When an appointment becomes available, a member of our team will contact you to arrange a suitable time. Services are provided by provisional psychologists undertaking advanced training, under the supervision of experienced Clinical Psychologists.

Do I need a referral?

You do not need a referral to access most Northfields Psychology Clinic services. Individuals, parents, carers, schools, health professionals, and community organisations can contact the clinic directly. If you are unsure whether a referral is required for your circumstances, please contact the clinic and we will be happy to assist.

Not sure which service you need? That's okay. Many people are unsure whether therapy, an assessment, or a group program is the most appropriate option. Contact the clinic and our team can discuss your needs and help guide you to the most suitable service.
