Who can access the clinic?

Understanding eligibility and fees is an important part of choosing the right support. Northfields Psychology Clinic aims to provide accessible, high-quality psychological services to the community through a supervised training model.

The information below outlines who can access our services, any eligibility requirements that may apply, and the fees associated with therapy, assessments, and group programs. If you have any questions about your circumstances, please contact the clinic and our team will be happy to assist.

Eligibility

Northfields Psychology Clinic provides services to children, adolescents, adults, parents and families from the local community.Eligibility for services may vary depending on the type of support required, clinician availability, and current waitlists. If you are unsure whether our services are suitable for your needs, please contact the clinic to discuss your circumstances.

Due to high demand, cognitive assessments are only available to people who hold a concession card or Health Care Card.

Clinic fees

(effective 1 April 2025)

Fees are current at the time of enquiry and are subject to change. Fees are reviewed annually and depending on waiting period may vary at the time of your appointment. Please confirm fees at time of appointment or group program.

^ Concession fees are for students or those on a Pension/Benefit/Centrelink Health Care Card. ID cards will need to be shown when paying.

Payment

Payment is requested that each individual session fee be paid at the time of consultation.

Rebates

Due to our Clinical Intern Psychologists having provisional registration whilst on placement at Northfields Psychology Clinic, sessions cannot be claimed through Medicare, NDIS or private health funds.

Cancellation

A minimum of 24 hours notice must be given to cancel an appointment. Less than 24 hours notice or failing to turn up will incur a 50% charge of your usual fee for the failed appointment.
