Consumer framework

The PCOC Consumer Engagement Framework aims to strengthen and sustain meaningful and effective consumer partnerships across the PCOC program, to improve palliative care outcomes for patients and their family and carers across Australia.

The framework has been developed by a working group using mixed collaborative and co-design approach. The group consisted of four PCOC staff members and four consumer members who met monthly over an 8-month period in 2025. 

The Framework is underpinned by a set of core objectives and principles and identifies four core components for effective collaboration:

On Thursday 12 March, PCOC will be hosting a virtual launch for the Consumer Engagement Framework. This event will welcome PCOC’s Consumer Advisory Panel as they reflect on the development of the framework, underscoring the significance of amplifying the consumer voice.
