Trimester 1, 2026

School of Business - Postgraduate

Tutorial / Workshop opening dates for Postgraduate Subjects on offer in the School of Business in Trimester 1, 2026 are:

  • All 800 level subjects - open 26 January, 2026
  • All 900 level subjects (except MBA & MBAS) - open 26 January, 2026
  • MBA & MBAS subjects - open 27 January, 2026 

Autumn Session 2026

School of Business - Undergraduate

Tutorial opening dates for Undergraduate Subjects on offer in the School of Business in Autumn Session 2026 are:

  • All 100 Level Subjects – open 19 February 2026
  • All 200 Level Subjects – open 28 January 2026
  • All 300 level Subjects – open 29 January 2026

All subject levels close on 13 March 2026

School of Law - Undergraduate

Tutorial opening dates for Undergraduate Subjects on offer in the School of Law in Autumn Session 2026 will be released shortly.

School of Social Sciences

Tutorial opening dates on offer in the School of Social Sciences in Autumn Session 2026 are:

  • 100 level subjects: 17 February - 13 March
  • 200, 300, 400, 900 level subjects: 10 February - 13 March

 

Enroling in seminars, tutorials, workshops, studios, labs and practical exams

Important: If your first choice is full, please enrol into an alternative tutorial. It may be possible to negotiate a change at the discretion of the Subject Coordinator. Special consideration can only be given to extreme cases and, although we attempt to meet the needs of all students, work schedules, overseas travel and childcare are not generally considered by the University as warranting special consideration.

Academic and Professional Staff of the Faculty are not able to enrol you into tutorials/seminars.

Please note:

  1. You must be enrolled in a subject before you can enrol into a tutorial.
  2. A “provisional” enrolment status in the subject will still allow you to enrol in the tutorial.
  3. The online tutorial enrolment system operates on a "first-in" basis.
  4. You will only be able to enrol in ONE tutorial for each subject. However, if a subject has more than one tutorial that you must attend (ie.Tutorial A, Tutorial B), you must enrol in one of each.
  5. If you wish to change to another tutorial group, you must first withdraw from the tutorial you are currently enrolled in.
  6. Once you have enrolled in your tutorials you can view your selection in SOLS.

Timetable and tutorial enrolment process

So, it's your first session at UOW. Once you've enrolled in your degree, it's time to make your timetable.

The first step is to find out when classes are on. It is really important to make sure you will have no clashes when creating your timetable.

To find your subject requirements, log into SOLS, select ‘timetable’ and then select ‘subject timetable’. It is important to check the opening times for your tutorial enrolments. Opening dates and times are different for each subject. To check the times, select the ‘enrolment menu’, then ‘tutorial enrolment’ in the left hand SOLS menu.

Closer to the start of session, your subjects will appear in a table under the ‘my timetable’ menu. If there is nothing displayed on this page a week before session, you will need to check your faculty central web page for information regarding your tutorials.

This table shows the opening times for each subject. Tutorials fill up quickly, so it's important to be prepared and ready at the tutorial opening times. Before tutorials are available to enrol in, they will be green. When they open they will be yellow. If tutorials are full, they will be pink.

You may not get the first choice you were hoping for, so you may need to select another option.

Once you find your preferred available class in yellow click on it to make your selection, then click ‘enrol now’. When you have successfully enrolled in a tutorial, it will appear in ‘my timetable’.
