Current and upcoming elections – University Council
The Council is the governing authority of the University. The Council acts for and on behalf of the University and controls and manages the University's affairs and concerns. Council members at the University of Wollongong play a pivotal role in guiding the university's strategic direction and ensuring its operational integrity.
Key responsibilities include overseeing university management, academic activities, financial and legal compliance, and fostering strong community relations. Council members may also serve on one or more Council committees.
Serving as an elected member of Council is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the future direction of the University, gain governance experience and work collaboratively with a diverse and dedicated group of colleagues.

Election for Chair of Academic Senate
The Academic Senate is the principal academic body of the University, having responsibility for advising the Council and the Vice-Chancellor on matters relating to teaching, scholarship, research and related activities in accordance with these terms of reference. Senate plays an important role in the governance of the University by working in collaboration with the University Council (Council), the University Executive and the academic community.
