The 2025 Mitsui Educational Foundation Study Tour of Japan is a fully funded, 21-day adventure that builds friendships and cultural understanding between Australia and Japan.

Explore incredible cities like Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima, and Hakone, experiencing everything from ancient temples and peaceful gardens to buzzing city streets and cutting-edge companies. The tour covers all costs, including flights, transport, meals, and accommodation.

Program Highlights

• Explore places like Nagoya, Kyoto, Nara, Kobe, and Hakone

• Visit organisations such as Mitsui & Co., the Australian Embassy, and Keio University

• Stay with a Japanese family for 3 days and experience everyday life

• Take part in cultural experiences like kimono dressing and natural hot springs

• Connect with Japanese university students and professionals

• You must be a full time student in 2nd year or above
• Australian Citizen (not a permanent resident)
• Academically capable
• Demonstrate a keen interest in learning broadly about Japan and how they will benefit from the MEF experience
• Act as an outstanding ambassador for the University, State and Australia

Note: Study of Japan or Japanese language is not required/essential.
