Honours

Are you passionate about psychology? Curious about how people think, feel and behave? The School of Psychology Honours programs gives you the opportunity to deepen your knowledge while building advanced research and analytical skills.

Through a combination of coursework and an independent research project, you’ll develop the critical thinking and scientific expertise needed to investigate complex psychological questions.

Programs

  • Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) [BPsyc (Hons)]: This is the final year in the four-year Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) degree for students who are currently undertaking Course 354, Course 1701, Course 866 or Course 867.
  • Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) [BPsycSc (Hons) – Course 353]: This is a one-year Honours program for candidates who have completed an APAC-accredited three-year undergraduate psychology degree (or equivalent). Eligible candidates include UOW students who have completed a three-year Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Psychological Science with a major in psychology, as well as external applicants from other APAC-accredited institutions.

The School of Psychology has one round of applications for entry into the Honours program each year. Applications for mid-year intake are not accepted.
