IMPACS‑NSW (Improving Palliative Care Screening in NSW Hospitals) is a research initiative led by PCOC that aims to improve how hospitals identify patients who may benefit from palliative care.
The project focuses on improving screening in NSW hospitals for palliative care. This aims to recognise people with life‑limiting illness earlier and connect them to care in a timely way.
The study will be conducted across the: Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD), South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD), and St Vincent’s Health Network (SVHA).
IMPACS-NSW is funded through the NSW Government’s End of Life and Palliative Care (EOLPC) Research Grant Program.
