About the campus

Located in Loftus, right next to TAFE, UOW Sutherland campus brings world-class education to the Sutherland Shire. We are big enough to matter, yet small enough to care, offering a modern, friendly campus with a personalised learning experience and specialised support. A short walk from the town centre, the campus provides easy access to shops, cafes, entertainment, and the leisure centre.

Our UOW Sutherland campus provides a modern and vibrant environment to help you make the most of your degree. Our facilities include:

  • Student success hub, located on ground level 
  • Modern student kitchen shared by students and staff including a fridge, microwaves, toasters, free tea and coffee bar
  • Vending machines packed with snacks and drinks 
  • Games area where you can challenge friends in giant games, board games, table tennis and basketball
  • Outdoor eating area and barbeque which is perfect for informal gatherings
  • Student lockers, available on level 1
  • Student lounge to chill and chat
  • Book exchange where you can donate unwanted books or find a new read
  • The UOW library collection is located within the education precinct at TAFE.

Train

The UOW Sutherland campus is a 15-minute walk from Sutherland train station and five minutes from Loftus train station.

  • Wollongong: 60 mins
  • Campbelltown: 1 hr 22 mins

Bus

Buses travel to the interchange at Sutherland train station. For more information on routes and timetables visit transportnsw.info.

  • Bankstown: 20 mins

Parking

There is a large amount of free parking available for UOW students to use in the university and TAFE precinct.

Staff and short-term visitors can call through at the intercom to be given access to park in the boom-gated UOW staff car park.

All parking on TAFE or on UOW premises is undertaken at the driver's own risk.

Bike parking is available at the UOW Sutherland campus adjacent to the Southern entrance of the building.
