What does the Legal Services Unit do?

The Legal Services Unit is a specialist unit that provides a broad range of professional, in-house legal services, to the University’s executive, faculties, research and administrative areas.

We manage the University's statutory obligations arising under privacy and access to information laws, and acts as the "proper officer" for subpoena service and response.

Personal legal advice

We are unable to provide legal advice to staff or students on any personal matters, i.e., family or criminal law advice.
